1962-1965 The Objectivist Newsletter
Ayn Rand published this Newsletter together with Nathaniel Branden in 1962. It was the first periodical of the Objectivist movement.
All editions of The Objectivist Newsletter up to its stopping in 1965 are availably here together as bounded editions. Many of the articles and essays here were published in The Virtue of Selfishness, and Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal in book form. |

1966-1971 The Objectivist
With the publishing of The Objectivist in 1966, The Objectivist Newsletter became a monthly appearing journal.
Many of the articles and essays here appeared in Return of the Primitive, and in The Romantic Manifesto in book form. Ayn Rand’s book Introduction to Objectivist Epistemology was beforehand published in this journal in instalments (though without the workshop transcripts).

1971-1976 The Ayn Rand Letter
In 1971 after the separation from Nathaniel Branden the magazine was adapted to its newsletter format, this time with only one article per edition.
At first the newsletter appeared every fourteen days, later The Ayn Rand Letter was published every two months, due to Rand’s progressing age.
Some the essay that can be read here were published in book form in Philosophy: Who Needs It. |
